We were driving from Los Angeles to Richmond to be at our father's 85th birthday party. While driving through Walnut Creek, we experienced severe engine misfire with a flashing check engine light. We called AAA to see where we could drive to get our Tundra looked at, but none of their shops were opened on Saturday. So we called Kona to see if they were open and if they could help us. Mark told us that our spark plugs got oil fouled, and the coil got fouled also. He cleaned up the plug and replaced the coil within an hour and a half, and got us on the road in time to be at the party. He warned us that the valve cover is still leaking oil, but we should be able to get home to make further repairs later. His price was quite reasonable, and he was straightforward on what was required without baffling me with BS. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to mechanic.

Mark has been our mechanic for years. I've been told there are three people to always have close in your life: a doctor, a lawyer, and a mechanic. Mark comes into the latter. He has solved any problems we've had with our Hondas, Toyotas and Subarus.

He figured out issues multiple dealerships couldn't solve. His prices have always been completely reasonable and through our years with him he has our trust and confidence. This guy is the real deal.

I have a Hyundai Kona and I bought it to them for scheduled service and to diagnose an intermittent noise. They found that Hyundai had a service bulletin and they made a print out. I brought it to the dealer and got a new clutch!

We chatted for a bit about different European cars I've had and shared stories when I was working on cars. Sometime you need to get your car onto a lift for jobs you don't want to crawl under to perform. Kona did my tranny service on my BMW 328d with the proper fluids and filters. I'm lining up the other cars now for work that needs attention. Support your local small business. They care more than the dealerships.

Absolute TOP notch service! THIS is what the automotive industry is missing on our world 🌎🌍 I was on a road trip to see my surf friends in Santa Cruz and couldn't buy the ramps I needed to change my oil myself. But for less than I paid in AZ this man got me on the road with a fresh filter and Motor Blood so I can hit the mountain pass with confidence 🙏🤙🤙
